How can video marketing help my marketing with engagement?

Video marketing can provide a number of benefits for your Cleveland, Akron, Canton, or Columbus area business.
One of the greatest things that you can do is increase the engagement in your website. Videos are highly engaging and can capture and hold the attention of viewers for longer periods of time compared to other forms of content. Video does a great job of drawing the customer in and holding attention.

Video can also help with increased conversion rates. Videos can be used to showcase your products or services, and can be effective in driving conversions by providing detailed information about a product or service in a visually engaging format. Once again, we’ve made the connection with engagement. The more than you have engaged with your audience, you have a greater opportunity to convert them into customers or clients.

Video can help you with increased brand awareness. Videos can be shared across a wide range of platforms like Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, Snapchat, Apple iPlay, and a host of podcasting sites. That wide range of platforms can help to build brand awareness by reaching a wider audience. Each platform has it’s own specific audience, and video not only gives you the chance to reach them, but a chance to engage and interact with them in an area where they are comfortable. In addition, video will help you to engage better

Videos can help with your SEO. If you have videos on your website, you will be able to keep visitors on the site longer as they engage with the videos. Video also gives another venue for providing an opportunity to include keywords and tags in the video's description and notes. We also offer a transcription service that gives you a change to not only have the video, but also have the text on your website as another search engine optimization tool.

If you would like to humanize your brand, video is a wonderful tool for just that. You can do this by showcasing the people behind the company. This will help to build trust and create an emotional connection with viewers. In addition, someone consistently appearing in videos will help the audience to connect with that person, and therefore, your company. That personality can connect your customers as friends. This builds trust, loyalty, long term engagement, and relationships.

Video can help you with targeted marketing. You can reach a specific target audience with tailored content, making it an effective way for businesses to reach your desired demographic. Be it a Generation X, Millennial, or Generation Z, or any other demographic, you can tailor your videos in order to reach those specific people.

Finally, when you look back on the video content that we’ve helped you create, you can analyze measurable results. Video marketing campaigns can be easily measured and tracked, providing insights into the performance and ROI of the campaign.

In summary, video marketing can provide many benefits to a business such as increased engagement, conversion rates, brand awareness, SEO, social media engagement, humanizing the brand, cost-effective and targeted marketing, long-term engagement, repurpose the content, measurable results, and mobile-friendly. Video marketing can be an effective way for businesses to reach and engage with their target audience and drive results.

Why should I invest in Video?

There are tons of reasons as to why your business should invest in video. Video is one of the most highly engaging and effective way to communicate with your current and future customers. You can use video to promote products and services, provide tutorials and demonstrations, and tell your company's story. Additionally, video is highly shareable on social media and can also raise brand awareness as well as increase website traffic. Studies have also shown that video can increase conversion rates on websites as you’re able to educate your customers to help improve their understanding of information. It’s your chance to help them to become a “product/service expert” for you.

Versatility is another big benefit that you have with creating video for your company. Video is a versatile format that can be used in a variety of ways. You can use it for product demos, explainer videos, customer testimonials, and more. You can save time and effort by having educational content for your customers. Let them see the video instead of having to call you to find out how something works. Video has the unique capability to show things in an immersive way. Multiple angles. Wide and then tight camera shots. You can show things in a video that just are not possible with text or photos. At the same time, the audio can be explaining it.

In some cases, we know that people are watching video with the audio off, and that’s ok. We offer a transcription service so you can have accurate closed captioning on your videos. This way, if someone is watching your video with the sound turned off, they can still know what you are talking about as the words will be on the screen in time with the audio tracks. This is just one more avenue that is used in order to have video make such a great connection with your customers.

Great video creates an emotional connection with customers. This can be particularly effective in building brand loyalty and trust. We work with you to help in building and telling that story. That story is the key in to creating that emotional connection with your customer. It allows the customer to be brought in and understand who and what they are working with. In conjunction with that comes the trust. They see that you are there and willing to put the time and effort in to make sure that they are successful. Through video, you can create a more personal connection with customers by featuring employees and behind-the-scenes content. Showing a high quality product often entails showing how it’s made and how it is different. Video allows you to control that narrative showing only the items that you want the public to see, so your competition doesn’t.

Search engine optimization (search engine optimization) is more important than ever, and video is increasingly important for SEO. YouTube is still the second largest search engine right behind Google. Every day, more and more people are searching for videos online to help them to get the answers that they need. As you create video with us, you start to gain more and more leverage in becoming the expert resource for your area. Additionally, video can be used to increase website engagement and decrease bounce rates by keeping visitors on the site longer, also helping with SEO. A video is a great way to draw people in and will help to keep them engaged on the site as they watch and learn.

Video ads on Facebook, YouTube, and other platforms can be used as a cost-effective way to reach potential customers. When you use video to catch someone’s eye, you’ve got them wanting and watching more, and learning more about you, your products, and what you do. Video is a highly effective way to expand your reach as a great marketing tool. As we mentioned before, it helps you to tell your story in one of the most effective ways.

Video can also be used for internal communication within a company. How many times have you had to explain a process? If you explain it once to the camera for example for employee training, you can save time and resources in the long run

It all comes down to this. Video is a powerful tool that can be used to communicate with customers, increase brand awareness, and drive sales. As more and more consumers are turning to video for information and entertainment, businesses that invest in video are well positioned to reach and engage their target audiences.

The week in photo and video

What a week it was! We’ve got a ton of great stuff going on that I’m excited to tell you about. The week started with the usual recording of the “On The Throttle” podcast with my co-host Jacqui and I. As always, some great stuff was covered.

Tuesday morning, Josh went to Kent, Ohio to hear about the Goldman Sachs 10k SB program. It’s a unique program setup to help business owners grow and network their businesses. We were able to talk with a number of people that have been through the program including Julie and Metris Construction. WIth great things to say about it, we’re looking into this farther.

Premier Truck Sales and Rental was the big meeting on Wednesday. We’ve done a long standing video series with them that has Josh as the spokesperson. We’re working on some great new videos that will help to highlight not just their products, but the process that makes those products better than the competition. We will be using a combination of voiceover, on camera, and time lapse footage to capture this for them. On top of that, we have a number of opportunities for action video shots using their in house crane which should be awesome for some amazing, cinematic shots.

There were some unique opportunities offered via a meeting with Digital Sandwich agency. Digital Sandwich is a full service marketing agency that works in SEO and social media. Since we were close, Adam introduced us to everyone at The Gateway, which is a co-working space owned by The Cuyahoga Falls Chamber, here in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. They are looking at the possibility of opening up a podcast studio for their members. What a huge opportunity for their members! We’re excited to see what can happen from this.

Friday ended up with a visit to White Rabbit in Barberton, Ohio as they have a new exhibit opening up. There will be some interesting news that we have coming up in conjunction with White Rabbit We’re excited for this!

We’ll have an update on a few other items coming up mid week as this coming week looks like it’s going to be another exciting one for all of us!.

Why is video important to your company?

Video is one of the most important things for you and your company to grow. It is one of the best ways for you to tell your story, and to tell why people should connect with your business. Let’s think about this. During a sales pitch, it’s conversational. Things go back and forth. With video, you have the power to totally control the conversation, meaning you get the chance to get your message out there exactly how you want to say it. It’s the opportunity to put your best foot forward.

When you look at most marketing blogs, they’re talking about how video is so important to your marketing, but they also mention the print and other content. Did you know that if we help you to create video content, that we can also transcribe it. This allows your customers to watch your video without sound, but it also let’s you create so much more content for your website or blog. This is why video production companies such as ours are a key instead of just shooting it on your phone.

Video is important also as it lets you go into a deep dive with your customers also. How many times have you not been able to show something or describe something correctly because you didn’t have what you needed, or it was just too complex? A great video production will let you show what you need to, from many different angles, all while highlighting exactly what you want to.

Weather you’re looking to start your own YouTube channel, or if you’re looking to just get better information to your customers, we have the tools, talent, technology, and tenacity to be your video production partner. Contact us today!

Video in the schools and radio

We absolutely love what we do. The biggest part of that is because of the people that we get to meet and the people that we get to partner with. Friday was the cap to the week.

It started out in the morning with a visit to Barberton High School. We were there to work with the and talk to the media class about what we do and what possibilities are out there for them. It was amazing to see how they lit up knowing some of the possibilities working in commercial video production. One topic of discussion came from a student that had been interested in finance and media, but didn’t see a direct route to work on video besides social media. When we started talking about the number of financial networks out there that he could work with, he definitely had an interest.

The next stop was to visit WAPS “The Summit” which is 91.3 FM on your radio dial. If you get the chance to support this great non-profit station, you’d be doing yourself and everyone locally a huge favor. They have a great in-house video team, but they are looking at a few things that are outside of what normally happens in a studio…..a drone. We’re looking at some really great shots that will work will in showcasing the great space that they have in a video that will be co produced. We’ll be back there next week in order to do some basic trials to see how they will work. This is an exciting video project.

Next week, we’ll be in Kent, Cuyahoga Falls, and Cleveland to work with some great clients on a number of photography and videography projects. This is exciting stuff!

Trucking Trash

This past week, we’ve been working hard with Premier Truck Sales & Rental in helping them market their trucks. Premier rents and sells their trucks ready to go into service for their customers. In this, they do this with premium products. They are one of those “it’s 100% or not at all” businesses. Everything that they do is with intention. It’s that intention that makes sure that their customers get the highest return on investment possible. They’re a great company to work with an we get to have a ton of fun on set with them. Who knew that garbage trucks could be so fun? We did!

Real Estate photos

The real estate market is always changing. With that, we have made sure to evolve our business to fit that market. Real Estate is like every other shoot. Each one presents its own specific challenges. With those challenges, we also find opportunities. For us, we take great pride in doing what we can to help realtors and home owners make home looks as best as they can. If you’re looking for an agent, let us introduce you to a few of the ones that we work with. If you are an agent, we’d love to work with you as part of your team.

The drone and passion projects

Every so often we see an opportunity to have some fun while working on some of the skills that we’re practicing to give you the best content possible. In this, some close friends of Josh have a 2,200 acre farm out by Lodi, Ohio. They were running the tractor and we decided that it was the perfect opportunity to get the drone of and fly around a bit. As you can see….the results show how much we love what we do.

The New Site

We’ve updated our site and have a new direction for the blog. Moving forward, we’re going to talk about the projects that we’ve been working on and what we’re doing to move forward with them. A lot of our video projects have a large number of moving pieces. This week, we’re working on a few interesting things.

Barberton, Ohio has a chance to win a large grant as an “All American City”. In this, we are working with the School system, the City, and Akron Metropolitan Housing Authority to create a short video that will help them in their bid to win the grant. It’s an exciting project for a city that does so much. We’ll update you with a link when it becomes available.

Video and You

We’ve been wonderfully busy creating new video content for our clients and loving it.   Thank you to all that have been a part of the past few months in keeping us so busy.    We’re growing (more to come on that in the next few posts), and in that, one of the ways that we’re growing is creating video content that will help you in your photo and video marketing efforts.   What will you see in this series? Why tune in? Where’s this all going? Take a peek and you can get some quick answers to all of those questions.

Per Google, 50% of web users look for a video before visiting a store or website.

What can we do to help you push your business forward?

Looking good in video

How do you look good on camera?

There are a ton of people that get nervous being on video.   We get it. If it’s a video production or even just a picture, the camera can be intimidating.   It’s not like an audience where you can see if they have a positive or negative response. You just have to put yourself out there and hope, right?   NO!!! With a little thought and some planning, you can look great and be ready for some awesome videos!

  1. Dress for what you and your customers do.   It sounds simple, but it really makes a statement.   Look clean, but ready to do the job of your audience.  Be clean. Look fresh. Most of all, make sure that you look like you’re ready to do what you and your customers do.

  2. Be bright.   Black is one of the toughest colors for a camera to get right.   Wear something that’s got a basic color to it, and also will have a good contrast with your background.   (Don’t wear blue in front of a blue wall etc.)

  3. Rehearse!    The thing that we always tell people when going doing a live video, is to “have your first 3 or 4 lines totally ready to go”.    Those lines are always the toughest and if you stumble at first, it’s tough to regain your composure. Have those first few lines nailed and that confidence will carry thought the rest of your video.

  4. Ditch the office chair!    If you’re going to be sitting, get a chair that doesn’t swivel.   Too many times we see people nervously swiveling in their chair a bit which gives them this “floating” look.   Unless you’re trying to look like an apparition, ditch the swivel chair for a stationary one.

  5. Act natural.   If you talk with your hands, go ahead and talk with your hands a bit.   If you don’t, that’s fine also. Whatever you do, relax and be yourself.

At Pedal Stomper Productions, we have the experience to notice those little things that help you to look your best on camera.   We go the extra mile to make sure that you’re prepared and confident in front of the video camera. We work as part of your team to help you convey the right message to your customers.   Let’s work together on your next marketing project to get more customers paying attention to you!

Keeping a watchful eye on things

Keeping a watchful eye on things

Are you getting the most out of your knowledge?

You’re a pro, but are you using that knowledge right?

You’re a pro.   You know what you do.   You know what makes you, your products, and your staff better than the competition.   That’s great for when a customer walks in the door, but why aren’t you using this knowledge to get more people in the door?

Knowledge is something that is far too often kept locked up until it’s asked for.   Businesses seem to wait for someone to walk through their door and ask a question before that business has the opportunity to show their skills and expertise.  This is leaving a huge, untapped resource. Since you have these tools, let’s use your knowledge and expertise to be aggressive in going to find new customers for you.

How do we do this?

Simply put, education is the way to be seen as the expert.   By being the one to reach out and educate people, you can be seen as “The Authority” on what you do.   That education and position works as a powerful tool in a number of different ways.

  1. Controlling knowledge.   When you’re in front of a customer, you have the ability to show them the strong points of your products and service.   You get to point out all of the best without having to be compared to others. That “Best Foot Forward” approach gives you the whole leg up on the competition.

  2. Constant contact.   We don’t send “touching base” or “wanted to reach out” emails because with the busy schedules of today, no one wants to use their time to respond to that.   On the flip side of this, adding value to their day is the perfect reason to contact them. When you’re able to bring good, new information to people, they look forward to it.

  3. Getting to know you.   As much as we live in an online world, people still want to buy from people.   Even though it may seem obvious, businesses are run by people...who want to work with people.   Video is a phenomenal way for your customers to see and hear you on a consistent basis, thus feeling that human connection with you.  After they’ve seen you a number of times, they come to realize that you’re no longer those pixels on a screen. You’re a person that genuinely wants to work with them.

  4. Confidence.   When your customer sees you talk about your product with confidence, it gives them the confidence to buy from you.   It’s simple psychology. If someone acts confident about who they are and what they have to offer, people feel good about listening...and buying.

As a note about confidence:

We know that some people love a camera.   We know some people don’t mind a camera. We also know that some people absolutely hate being in front of a camera.   We know how to make it comfortable for everyone. After all, our expertise is bringing out the fact stated in the opening statement.   “You’re a pro.” You know it. Your customers know it. It’s our job at Pedal Stomper Productions to make sure that you look it.

You have the knowledge and the tools to reach out to your customers and stay in constant contact with them.   Now it’s time to start putting those tools to work!!!!

2018...What a year!!!

2018...What a year!!!

What a year!    First and foremost, I want to thank each and every one of you.   In one way or another, you’ve been a part of the growth and success of Pedal Stomper Productions and for this, I am eternally grateful.    It was March of this year when this passion became a business and in the last 9 months, it’s been absolutely amazing. The places that we’ve been and the things that we’ve seen have been amazing but what I have loved most of all is the people.   The camera has introduced me to some amazing and wonderful people over the past year and it’s you that has truly made this, a year to remember.

No year is complete without a top 10 list, right?    So we decided to do a bit of our own list to cover some of the highlights from this year.

Getting customers to come to you - the key to contact

Everyone wants to get more orders from more customers.   It’s simply how we grow our business. Unfortunately, there’s all sorts of confusion on how to properly do this.   Often times, online marketing is done like a “get rich quick” scheme or the latest diet fad and as you know, those don’t really work.

So what does work?

It’s said that you need to have 6-10 contacts with your customer before they will finally enter a transaction.   In this, you need to find a way to interact with your customers for those 6 to 10 times and it’s as simple as four words.    Consistently creating great content.

You may think, “Those are 4 words, but they aren’t simple.”   This is where many people go wrong and give up. Let’s break this down to a few simple steps and keep you rolling out the content that will get you those new customers.

  1. Keep it educational

  2. Keep it simple

  3. Keep it great

  4. Keep it consistent

Customers are constantly looking for these 4 things with every piece of content that see.   If you keep these in mind as you create your content, you’ll have your 6-10 contacts in no time and the new orders will start rolling in.

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be covering the 4 steps in a bit more detail for you, but start working with them now!   We can help with that content also as we all know how effective great photos and especially video can be.

What’s been the rule that you’ve broken the most?   What rule do you keep with? We want to know in the comments!

Catching the competition

Showing your strength

Marketing your strengths sounds simple...but is it?

Yes, but let’s talk about making sure that you stay on track with it.

During a consulting session with a client this week, that became the topic of discussion as we were working on a future marketing plan for them.   They’re rapidly growing and have a great path ahead of them. As they start to build their web presence, I began to find that the focus of their future marketing plan was on products.   This is a great area for them to expand into and they have some great items to work with, but it wasn’t how they built their business to this point. In this, I asked, “What’s the thing that you guys are known for? What do you do better than anyone else?”
“Our service is what we’re known for.   We do things that other places can’t or won’t.”

Our discussion immediately changed.  We spent the rest of the conversation working towards a marketing and web plan that includes parts, but it focused on what they do the best, and where they make their money…Service!   This is a talented group and we’re really excited to help them “show off” a bit.

When working with you, we want to make sure that we help to show where you’re the best, how you’re different, and why you’re the best value for your customers.   Creating that value is how you find new customers, and why the old ones stay with you time and time again.

Let us know what you do the best in the comments!   Have you stuck with that plan? We want to hear your stories!

Focusing on the parts that can gain you the most

Consistent updates

We hope you had a great Thanksgiving as we definitely did!

Part of digital marketing is evolving to fit the needs of your customers. We dove headfirst into the data to see who went where, when, why, and how. In this, we changed our site around to give you a better idea of what do and how we can help you. In this, we’d love your direct feedback to see what you think!

Also, we’ve added the ability for you to subscribe to our mailing list. We practice what we preach and won’t push to sell you anything on there. What we want to do is engage with our subscribers and help them push their digital marketing forward. Presenting solid, usable information on how photo and video marketing can be used is the goal. We definitely have enough material to support both the newsletter and the blog, so make sure that you subscribe and check back here for more great information!

Sincerely,
